2011
SIA „KMM Metals” participates at the project “Training for specialists of metalworking industry” (project Nr. L-APA-10-0027), which is being carried out by the Association of Mechanical Engineering and Metalworking Industries of Latvia and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia. The project is being financially supported by the European Social Fond. Within the project, the qualification of specialists will be raised and new technical knowledge will be acquired.
On November 4, 2011 KMM Metals has signed an agreement about the implementation of the project Nr. ĀTA/2.3.1.1.1/11/30/029 which is carried out within the activity 2.3.1.1 “Acquisition of external markets”. The project supports participation at two international trade fairs: „МЕТАЛЛУРГИЯ-ЛИТМАШ-2011” in Moscow and „GIFA – 2011” in Dusseldorf.

On the August 3, 2011 KMM Metals signed an agreement about the implementation of the project Nr. JPR/2.1.2.2.2/11/02/054 which is carried out until the September 4, 2012 within the subactivity “Development of new products and technologies – support of implementation of new products and technologies in the production” of the activity 2.1.2.2.2 of the Operational Program “Entrepreneurship and Innovation”. The aim of the project is the implementation of a new technology that allows producing of new metal alloys of a higher hardness grade, alloys with CuZn and wares of CuAl alloy in accordance with customers’ quality requirements. This method has been worked out by the internationally recognized specialist in metal casting in cooperation with a local company MARS Casting Technologies.
The project is being carried out under the slogan „Investment in your future”.

KMM Metals implements the project “Enhancement of the energetic efficiency of the foundry building of KMM Metals at the Balta str.3/9, Riga”.
On the March 14, 2011 KMM Metals, SIA "Vides investiciju fonds" and the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Develpoment signed an agreement about the implementation of the project Nr. KPFI-6/32 with the financial support of state (KPFI -climate change financial instrument).
The aim of the project is the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. Within the scope of the project there was an energetic audit carried out in the company. There will be replaced two heaters of low efficiency for ladles and installed an automatic gate of the warehouse. The total cost of the project amount to 70 164,51 Ls. The eligible cost is 57 987,20 Ls from which the financial support of state covers 48,51%, but co-finansiation of KMM Metals - 51,49%.

2010
On the February 25, 2010 KMM Metals and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia signed an agreement about the implementation of the project “Modernisation of production base of KMM Metals company for enhancing of export capacity” Nr. APV/2.1.2.4.0/09/01/036 which is carried out until the September 1, 2011 within the activity 2.1.2.4. “High value-added investments” of the Operational programme “Entrepreneurship and Innovations” for 2007 - 2013. The aim of the project is the implementation of the production line of upstream continuous casting by the application of the crystallisation method. In this way the production of finished metal parts for the automotive industry, machine building industry is being ensured. This method has been worked out by the internationally recognized specialist in metal casting in cooperation with a local company MARS Casting Technologies.
The project is being carried out under the slogan „Investment in your future”.
